Production Testing / Flowback

Production Testing / Flowback Services

Tests on oil and gas wells may be performed at various stages of drilling, completion, and production for a variety of different purposes. It is important to completely undestand the reasons for each of these tests, and know what equipment is necessary to carry them out is.

Reservoir analysis has to be complete and accurate. Reform guarantees production testing that will lead the direction of maximized return on drilling investments, all while safely detailing the well fluid and gas monitoring.

Reform Energy Service's units are operated by experienced field personnel, and equipped with multiple ¼”ø NPT sample and instrument connection ports. This allows us to provide our customers with fully detailed reliable reports.

We build our equipment to work and to keep working. Because we invest more in our equipment, our units save time and money, and are the safest systems to operate.

With our high pressure separators, up to 1440 psi, we are able to handle a wide range of wells. This allows us to flow back low pressure gas wells, as well as critically sour high pressure wells, in a safe and controlled manner.

All our vessels are designed and fabricated as per ASME Code, Section VIII, Division I; the Alberta Boilers Safety Association; and NACE level 1 specs.

Some of the applications of our Production Testing / Flowback packages include:

  • Absolute Open Flow, AOF, production tests. Uses a portable separator to determine the well's production capability of oil and gases.

  • Fracture and stimulation recovery. Uses a separator to clean the well bore after a stimulation project has been completed on the well.

  • Inline production testing. Uses a separator to tie into an operator's pipeline providing a flow analysis for the operator to verify a particular well's production, without have to shut in the well.

Technological Advantages and Cost Saving Features of our Equipment

Reform Energy Services has taken great pains in designing its own equipment with many innovative features to save time and money, and enhance safety. The following are some of the key differences versus other equipment on the market.

Air compressors. Some of our units have their own instrument air, saving you logistical and fuel costs of propane.

Self-contained electric heating system. Some of our Production Testing systems feature their own self-contained electric heating system. You won't have to supply a boiler for us, reducing your operating costs.

Free standing flare stacks. Our 60 ft. flare stacks are zero ground disturbance and eliminate the need for anchors, as well as a picker to set them up. This saves substantial time and cost.

Tornado Pilot System. Using a Tornado pilot system, we can substantially reduce the consumption of propane, saving operating costs.

Higher pressure separators. Reform has higher working pressure separators. This results in less erosion on the equipment and lower cost to you for downtime.

Fully portable equipment. Our equipment has been designed into portable trailers, offering great cost savings to the client, especially in cases where a client has multiple locations to be serviced. Skid mounted units are also available.

Trailer Booster. Our equipment is capable of accepting a booster, meaning we can easily add wheels to distribute weight that normally would be problematic in case of road ban. This means you can conduct business as usual when others face work stoppages.

Dual head electrical chemical injection pumps. Most companies use pneumatic systems (using nitrogen or propane). Ours use electricity, saving substantial operating costs.

2" 5K welded manifold with 2 bypass choke loops. Most units on the market are threaded, our design is dramatically safer.
